Opening times
The Lychgate Cutting Garden is an exciting, recent extension of the much loved Hill House Nursery.
Hill House Nursery - open daily 11 - 5pm (except two weeks over Christmas) for a great selection of plants, shrubs, trees, exotics.
Tea room and gardens -
Open throughout the year for morning coffee, light lunches, afternoon tea. Please see Nursery website for Tearoom opening times www.hillhousenursery.com
Classics - a collection of outdoor, decorative, unusual, garden furniture/items of interest for sale- available during all nursery open hours.
Lychgate Cutting Garden opening times-
Currently the shed is not staffed every day though we endeavour to give a personal service to customers as far as possible in the garden. Therefore, we guarantee shed open 11-5pm Thursday and Saturday but during all other nursery open hours (11-5 daily) we would like customers to know that it is still possible to pick flowers. We advise- please glance to the right as you pull into the main Hill House entrance to observe if shed is open or not.
Shed open: come straight to shed
Shed closed: Please see a member of staff in main nursery glasshouse who will advise.
Please note: Hill House Nursery and tearooms is open all year round (except two weeks at Christmas) The Cutting Garden however is seasonal and is open between May and September.
Dogs are welcome on leads.
For customers requiring large amounts of produce, it is important to make an appointment in order to discuss availability etc.

Smallest - £12
Medium - £20
Large bucket - £80 (standard florist bucket 31cm tall, 27cm diameter). These can also be pre picked ready for you to collect priced per bucket £95
Please note: The containers are not included in the price of the small and medium. We wrap your flowers.
The small buckets are a good posy size. The medium buckets are more of a bouquet, while the larger buckets cater for weddings or other celebrations where more produce is needed.
Once you have picked as many as you can fit in, we will wrap them for you to take home.
Gift vouchers are now available.
